November's theme is Program Development, Evaluation, & Implementation (but the event 'title' is way catchier)! Whether you've done it before and think you could've rolled things out better, or have an idea for your organization and just can't get anyone to take your pitch seriously, we'll have guest co-hosts that know how to plan, pilot, and evaluate new programs, and they'll help you learn how to do the same.
Co-Founders of Greater Youth Sports Association, Inc. Annalise Lullo and Devonte Woodson will be 2 of our 3 guest co-hosts for our November event (taking place at our winter season location inside Cornish Pasty Co.). They'll be ready to put their extensive program development experience to use for you if you have any questions or ideas you want to brainstorm!
In addition, N³'s lead organizer and Project REAL Program Director Mike Kamer will be taking on co-hosting duties this month.

What is Nerdy Nonprofit Networking?
If you're a nonprofit employee in Nevada that enjoys learning, drinks, & meeting others from our field who 'get it'... welcome! Nerdy Nonprofit Networking of Nevada hosts a (mostly) monthly mixer that also serves as a relaxed learning environment. Join the group to stay up to date on mixer dates, locations, topics, and guest-host (our topical 'experts').
Each mixer has a learning theme led by an experienced professional. You can attend because you have questions about the theme, but you can also just show up to meet other nonprofit professionals and talk about anything else:
Maybe just talk about what's going on at work! Grant deadlines dragging you down? Think you're suffering from compassion fatigue but don't want to talk with the coworkers about it just yet? Perhaps you want advice about with a particularly hard-to-manage volunteer on a night when the learning theme is 'How to Ask For Donations With Confidence'.... Whatever it is, come and benefit from sympathetic ears of other nonprofit professionals after work, and just maybe you'll also get a little professional development accomplished while you're at it!
Our recurring tongue-in-cheek price of admission fee is:
- Bring one person who works in the social sector who has never been to one of the mixers before, or
- Show up with one piece of knowledge or advice to share. That piece of knowledge is written down on a piece of paper and given to the host of the evening when you arrive, and will be read along with the night’s 3-minute ‘briefing on the topic’, or
- Show up with one industry related question, or
- Do some combination of the above three options because why the heck not?
