Courageous Conversations – Diversity (Members Only)

Creating a safe space for nonprofit professionals from all walks of life to come together and have courageous conversations about diversity, equity, race, gender, culture, and more

PRESENTED BY AFP LAS VEGAS & YNPN SOUTHERN NEVADA

Members – Join us for a panel discussion with local leaders who are moving the needle in nonprofit work, social justice, advocacy, and more:

  • Christina Vela, Chief Executive Director of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children
  • Mai Tran, Brand + Events Director for The Cupcake Girls
  • Yindra Cotman-Dixon, Executive Director of MPower 360 & Black Empowerment Institute
  • Holly Reese, Director of Community Engagement and Advocacy, The LGBTQIA+ Center

Following the discussion, participants will have an opportunity to meet with each speaker in small breakout rooms. Members are invited to bring their authentic selves to the table for very open, honest, and even uncomfortable questions and dialogue. This is an opportunity to seek guidance, information, support, and more, on topics of diversity that may be top of mind for you in a space that is safe and inclusive. At the end of the event, enjoy optional networking time to continue making connections with other participants.

Courageous Conversations will be presented virtually via Remo.
