Access to Experts: Spotlighting AAPI Women in Nonprofit Leadership

The Asian American & Pacific Islander community in Southern Nevada is diverse and vibrant. With May being Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM), we wanted to showcase a few women who lead the charge in providing necessary services for the AAPI community in Southern Nevada.

  • Vida Chan Lin – President and Founder, Asian Community Development Council (ACDC)
  • Nicole Santero – Director of Communications, UNLV School of Public Health; Board Member, OCA Las Vegas; Board Member, Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition
  • Leora Dumanlang – Administrative Coordinator, ACLU NV; Secretary, UNLV FASA

Join us Tuesday, June 1, for a discussion about AAPI impact in the social sector, how AAPI nonprofits navigate to support AAPI communities, and how to inspire emerging AAPI leaders to pursue social work.

Ask Your Questions

There will be a networking breakout session prior to the discussion, an audience Q&A, and a networking opportunity following the discussion. We welcome you to ask questions during the open Q&A. Please feel free to submit your questions in advance using this form.

Access to Experts (A2E) is a program created by YNPN Southern Nevada that was created to share stories of local nonprofit and community leaders, with a goal of providing professional development and advice to the future generation of leaders.
