Lucy will discuss her experiences as a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, her career in the non-profit and public sector, and the importance of building a culture of philanthropy and “friendraising”
Lucy Klinkhammer joined Nevada HAND in 2016 and oversees resource development, fundraising, and communications. Her professional background includes over 25 years in nonprofit management, fundraising, and community relations. Her experience includes capital, annual and major giving campaigns; event planning; communications; as well as leadership roles with start-up programs. Prior to joining HAND, Lucy served as vice president of development at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, associate vice president community relations for The Lincy Institute at UNLV, associate vice president for development operations, and corporate secretary for the UNLV Foundation. She has held leadership positions with the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Las Vegas Chapter. Lucy holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and is an active member of the UNLV Alumni Association.
